About this orphanage:
The Tongling orphanage was opened in 1958. The old orphanage was located on South Huaine Ave. While in that facility, the orphanage started international adoptions in December 1992, but there was only one girl sent for international adoption that year. That facility had 7-8 baby rooms, and about 30 nannies. In May 1997, the orphanage moved to the center of the city, to a facility located at #750 Central Beijing Rd. This current facility has 9 baby rooms, with about 30 nannies caring for the kids.

Finding Ads - Finding ads are published by the orphanage as the first step for international adoption. The photos used in the ads pre-date a child's referral photo by several months. Additionally, information contained in the ads is very valuable to adoptive families, especially those who have not traveled yet.

DVD of City - Research-China.Org's orphanage DVDs provide a great look into the city of your child's birth. Orphanage tours (often including babyrooms), finding locations, and cultural and historical sites provide a wonderful introduction to your child's birth city.

Orphanage City Photo Book - is pleased to offer beautifully illustrated books on orphanage hometowns, including Gao'An City. Designed for adopted children to learn about their birthplaces, each book has at least 21 pages filled with dozens of beautiful photos of area people, scenery and the orphanage, as well as lots of information about the cities themselves.

Maps - Our maps are the perfect way to locate orphanages, finding locations, and other important features of your child's city. We offer maps in originals and scanned versions.

Birth Parent Search Analysis - A deeper analysis of the orphanage submissions, finding location distribution, gender and health ratios, and other interesting and important characteristics of the adoption program, is available through our Birth Parent Search Analysis.
